AIAX and Prometheus together in the field of Digital Epigraphy!

The AIAX XML front-end service and CMS developed by a team of researchers at the University of Sofia in the framework of the CLaDA-BG e-infrastructure is an essential tool in our work on the Prometheus Digital Epigraphy Project. It was first applied to the Telamon collection of Ancient Greek Inscriptions from Bulgaria. AIAX facilitates the indexing and display of epigraphic content, using a custom EpiDoc XML template for structured documentation. It also includes a CMS module for managing other information related to digital epigraphy.

In the Prometheus project, AIAX supports the digitization of inscriptions from Bulgaria, Serbia, and North Macedonia, streamlining our work and ensuring the preservation and accessibility of these important cultural artifacts. The platform is available with #OpenAccess and can be adapted for other projects as well.
