We invite you to the Archaeological Museum of Skopje for the official presentation of our PROMETHEUS project—a result of two years of dedicated research and collaboration!
Join us as we unveil a groundbreaking digital collection of 30 ancient inscriptions and stories from the Roman era, carefully selected from North Macedonia, Bulgaria, and Serbia.
These inscriptions, written in Greek and Latin, reveal powerful personal stories—love, hope, family, faith, loss—and offer unique insights into everyday life and the culture of the ancient Balkans.
The PROMETHEUS digital platform not only brings these fascinating texts to life, but also provides interactive tools, search indexes, and teaching resources for exploring these treasures in new ways.
Supported by Creative Europe and ministries of culture from our region, this collaborative project links Southeast European heritage for the first time, highlighting our shared history.
