To Titus Aurelius Flavinus, son of Titus, of the tribe Papiria, primipilaris [= chief centurion] and leader of the city councillors of the colony of Oescus, councillor of the cities of Tyra, Dionysopolis, Marcianopolis, Tungri, and Aquincum, patron of the guild of craftsmen, honoured by the deified Antoninus Augustus the Great [= Caracalla] with 50,000 sesterces and 25,000 sesterces and military promotion for his dashing bravery against the enemy forces of the Carpi and the deeds successfully accomplished at Tyra. Claudius Nicomedes, councillor of the city of Tyra, (erected this statue) for his most deserving friend. The site (for the statue) was granted by a decree of the city councillors.
