The Prometheus Project at the 9th Epigraphy.info Workshop!

Last week, from 2-4 April 2025, the 9th Epigraphy.info Workshop took place in a hybrid form in Aarhus, Denmark, and online. At the event, representatives of our team from the University of Sofia, Dr. Nicolay Sharankov and Dr. Dimitar Iliev, discussed the PROMETHEUS Project. During their remote participation in the event, they presented the institutions in the project from North Macedonia, Bulgaria, and Serbia, as well as the project’s goals and activities: gathering a network of scholars from the region with competences in Digital Epigraphy, creating a common dataset of inscriptions, and building a storytelling platform based on it. Some particular examples of inscriptions containing interesting stories about universal values were demonstrated.

 

The presentation provoked a great interest among the colleagues at the event, and a vivid discussion followed.
