Presentation of the Prometheus Project at Sofia University

Presentation of the Prometheus Project at Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski"

✨ The next stop on our dissemination journey is Sofia University!

???? On Friday, 5 December 2025, we invite you to join us in Hall 1 of the Rectorate of Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski” at 18:00 h and online for the presentation of the results of our work on the PROMETHEUS project — Promoting Universal Values through Digital Epigraphy and Cultural Heritage.

???? The project brings together five academic partner institutions from Bulgaria, Serbia, and North Macedonia under the coordination of the Archaeological Museum of the Republic of North Macedonia in Skopje. Over the past two years, we have created a digital collection of Greek and Latin inscriptions from the Early Roman Empire era, preserved across the three countries, and developed engaging stories inspired by their content. Building on this material, our team has created storytelling narratives that highlight the daily lives, values, and shared cultural heritage of the ancient communities of Southeastern Europe.

???? During the event, we will walk you through our website, which includes the epigraphic collection, a storytelling platform with narratives based on the inscriptions, and a Handbook offering in-depth historical information about provinces, cities, institutions, religion, and more. Join us as we experience the ancient world of our region together with the scholars who decipher these inscriptions, the creators of the digital platform, and the authors inspired by the words carved in stone!

????️ The PROMETHEUS project is co-funded by the Creative Europe programme and by the Ministries of Culture of all three participating countries.
